  • Partnership Opportunities | Collaborate With The Future You Project

Partner with The Future You Project to support young women across Aotearoa. Work with us to deliver wellbeing, leadership and coaching programmes in your community. THE INSIDE STORY PARTNERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES Real change happens when we work together. FYP partners with schools, communities, and organisations who share our vision of empowered, connected young women shaping the future of Aotearoa. We believe in the power of collective impact where coaching and wellbeing initiatives don’t just touch individual lives, but strengthen entire ecosystems of support. From educators to parents, youth mentors to local councils, every partnership helps us reach more young people and build long-term capacity for change. Ways we can collaborate: Parents & other whānau: If you want us to deliver our programme to your child’s school, let’s talk. Schools & educators: Co-design workshops that integrate with your wellbeing or leadership programmes. Community & youth organisations: Develop group coaching or mentoring sessions tailored to local needs. Corporate & funding partners: Help bring FYP programmes to schools and communities that need them most. We love partnering with organisations whose values align with ours and we acknowledge all supporters accordingly. Our partnerships are built on shared values of aroha, hauora, empowerment, and connection. Contact Vicky directly if you would like to discuss how best to support what we do. Whether it is supporting a school in your community to hold an FYP coaching workshop, or provide funding for a specific event, or if you want to help us access general funding, we would love to talk with you. Having external providers deliver body programmes relieves over-burdened teachers and capitalises on specific expertise. YMCA REPORT 2020 Together, we can create pathways that help every young person see themselves as capable, resilient, and ready to lead. Partner with us to help make this possible for more young people across Aotearoa - Let’s start the kōrero! My work with teen girls ensures they’re listened to and in charge of their own narrative, while I help them navigate the changes they want to make. It’s rewarding work that shifts mindsets, challenges unhealthy beliefs, and strengthens their connection to their own power. Vicky Pond Dunlop, Founder. THE FUTURE YOU PROJECT LET'S TALK! • About FYP | Empowering Young Women Through Hauora & Leadership | The Future You Project

Learn how The Future You Project empowers young women through hauora-based coaching, leadership tools, resilience-building workshops and real-world confidence. THE INSIDE STORY ABOUT FYP Think critically, act courageously and live authentically The Future You Project (FYP) was born from a simple but powerful idea - that when young women feel connected to who they are, they unlock the power to shape the world around them. At its heart, FYP is about enabling young women to make independent choices that positively impact their future. Our approach blends positive psychology, coaching methodologies, and hauora-based wellbeing principles to support mind, body, heart, and spirit. Our whole-person approach means every young woman leaves an FYP coaching session feeling inspired, confident, and ready to use what she’s learned, in everyday life. At FYP, we create spaces where young women can explore who they are, who they want to be, in using their voice to speak up for themselves and others, and develop an unshakeable sense of self-worth. Through interactive workshops, underpinned by coaching methodologies and leadership experiences, we equip them with tools for critical thinking, the courage to make their own mark on the world, and engage in authentic connection with others. We see every young person as more than their challenges; as capable, resilient, and deserving of opportunities to explore who they are and where they want to go next and in their future. The Future You Project was born from the belief that change happens when there is connection, and when women stand together - we don’t compete, we rise. When empowered + connected, we become the change our world needs. FYP partners with schools, communities, and whānau to ensure everything we share feels relevant and real. Whether through our interactive workshops that build resilience, connection, and challenge unhealthy thought patterns, or our individual coaching that encourages self-awareness and individual accountability, and nurtures leadership, our goal is simple: to help young women feel ready to lead their own story. INNER GROWTH. FUTURE FOCUSED. It is my vision to have women working together as a collective rather than being pitted against each other as combatants. Instead of fighting each other for a piece of the pie, it is my belief we get to eat the whole damn pie. Vicky Pond Dunlop, Founder. THE FUTURE YOU PROJECT MEET VICKY For Vicky, the future of young women’s confidence wasn’t something to wait for, it was something to build, right now. As a mum of two daughters, and a carer/guardian to others she welcomed into her home - Vicky witnessed firsthand the challenges many young women face. She saw the exhaustion, the pressure to be perfect, and, heartbreakingly, the sense among some that the world didn’t have space for them. Determined to be part of the solution, she turned her insight and empathy into action. Over time, those everyday chats in cars, classrooms, and around kitchen tables made one thing clear: young women needed more support than they are getting. A certified International Coach Federation (ICF) Transformative Coach with a Master of Educational Leadership, Graduate Diploma in Psychology and Bachelor of Arts in Education and Media, Vicky has combined academic depth with lived wisdom. Specifically, Vicky completed her research into how young women build leader identity through their school years and earned a Dean’s Award for excellence, all helping ignite a mission: to help girls see themselves not as problems to fix, but as leaders of their own lives. Vicky challenges the narratives that seek to shrink girls' selves, to challenge the societal pressure to ‘be good’, ‘stay quiet’ ‘don’t take up space’. These expectations are coded to silence women, instead we show them how to stand in their power, and to individually and collectively use their voice. From building a deeper sense of belonging, to choosing their tribe, to speaking up for themselves and others, to setting healthy boundaries, Vicky and her team bring a practical, heart-led approach to every interaction. HOW CAN WE HELP? We work with women and girls to set achievable goals, enhance their lives, and create lasting, positive change. Whether it’s through individual or group coaching, our work builds awareness of where barriers lie, creates clarity about where their goals can take them, and helps bring these gorgeous humans to a place of action. Our work with teen girls ensures they’re listened to and in charge of their own narrative while we help them navigate the changes they want to achieve. It’s rewarding work that shifts them toward a mindset where they can see what’s possible, replacing old beliefs with stronger connections to their own strengths and personal power. Vicky’s story is anchored in Aotearoa’s cultural and environmental uniqueness, and so is her practice. FYP was created for Aotearoa to speak to the lives of young people growing up here and those who call Aotearoa home, grounded in the values of manaakitanga (care and hospitality), hauora (holistic wellbeing), and rangatiratanga (self-determination). These principles guide every workshop and every conversation. Just wanted to send a huge thank you for the course you did for the Year 9s at Papamoa College. My daughter came home and took me through every detail of how good it was from start to finish - feel so grateful that people like you are doing things like this for our young people. Mother of Year 9 student, Papamoa College What began as one woman’s mission has become a collective movement of mentors, parents, educators, and young women lifting each other as they rise. Today, The Future You Project continues to grow through the same belief that started it all: when you equip a young woman with knowledge, connection, and urgency, focused on positive change, you help shape a future where she and those around her thrive. Be careful the things you say - children will listen. Careful the things you do - children will see and learn. Those words from Stephen Sondheim have always stayed with me and have helped shape the values that sit at the heart of FYP. About FYP Q+A Let's Talk Partnership Opportunities

  • Family Support | Confidence & Wellbeing for Young Women | The Future You Project

Guidance for whānau raising young women. Build trust, strengthen communication, and support emotional wellbeing with FYP’s practical tools for families and caregivers. YOUR CIRCLE FAMILY This is for you whānau, the parent, caregiver, and the village that is raising our young women*. At the core of our love for our young people is that everyone deserves someone in their corner, someone who believes in their potential and helps them find their way when life gets complicated. That’s where The Future You Project comes in. FYP works alongside families, not instead of them. We’re here to support the conversations you’re already having, or want to have, strengthen the trust between you and your girls, and offer tools that help them navigate the complex world our teens are growing up in. We know families all look different. Some are led by one or both parents, some by grandparents, or wider whānau, some by foster whānau, and a shared goal to see their young person happy, healthy, and confident in their uniqueness. Our mahi is built on aroha (love), hauora (wellbeing), and connection, creating a space where every young woman, no matter her background, can be seen, heard, and supported. *Please note that where we might say ‘women’ we also mean trans and non-binary young people who align with the term “women”. Young women in Aotearoa New Zealand are under more pressure than ever before and their mental health is suffering as a result. YWCA Report, 2018 WE FOCUS ON PRACTICAL GROWTH. Developing emotional awareness and healthy boundaries. Strengthening communication and friendships. Ways of dealing with anxiety and perfectionism. Encouraging balance across mind, body, and spirit. How social media can be a blessing and a curse for our young people. We are trained professionals who combine evidence-based methods with empathy and lived experience. You can feel confident knowing every interaction is guided by care, safety, and respect for your child’s wellbeing. TIPS FOR PARENTS These small shifts can make a big difference in how young people see themselves and feel supported at home: Try gentle conversation starters to help uncover what’s really going on beneath the surface, for example, “What makes you ask that question? As your child hits their teens, there is a lot going on for them, so be patient and know that any outburst is frustration at the world being very challenging. Focus on her strengths, like creativity, kindness, or physical abilities. Compliment effort versus outcome. “I am so proud at how hard you worked” vs “I am so proud that you aced that test” Use descriptive feedback rather than broad compliments like “That outfit looks great on you” instead of “You’re so pretty.” Model positive self-talk about your own body, size, and shape, and of others. Encourage healthy eating and movement patterns rather than focusing on appearance. If you have serious concerns, contact your GP or school guidance counsellor. Students can also reach out to YOUTHLINE — free call 0800 376 633 , free text 234 , or visit youthline.co.nz/body-image. Sometimes young people open up best when they have a neutral, trusted adult to talk with, someone outside the family who helps them make sense of their thoughts and emotions. At FYP, we hold that space gently, always encouraging open communication back home. Please note that we are not counselors, but trained coaches who listen, guide, and help young people develop the tools to navigate life with confidence. Any child you believe needs mental health professional please reach out to one of the following: If you’d like to learn more about how FYP can support your whānau, we’d love to connect. Whether you’re seeking tools for confidence, guidance through the transition years, or simply a safe space for your teen to grow, FYP is here to walk alongside you.
