FINDING YOUR VOICE
These are the years when everything begins to change, often new schools, new friendships, new feelings. It can be exciting, confusing, and a little bit messy all at once. That’s okay, you’re not meant to have it all figured out yet. The Future You Project is here to help you explore who you are becoming. Through fun, honest conversations and creative activities, we help you build confidence in who you are, and the tools to look after yourself and your friendships. At FYP, we talk about Hauora, the Māori word that means looking after your whole self: mind, body, emotions, spirit, and the people around you. When you understand each of these parts, you start to feel stronger from the inside out.
AT FYP WE CAN HELP YOU TO LEARN TO...
-
Notice your thoughts and feelings and learn how each affects you
-
Be a good friend to yourself (because self-care means more than you think!)
-
Find good friends, and how to deal with friendships that go off track
-
Feel confident in your own skin (and why sometimes we are not)
-
Ask for help when you need it (and know that’s a sign of strength)
Our coaches don’t tell you who to be - we listen, guide, and celebrate you. Together, we’ll explore what makes you unique and how to use your voice in ways that feel brave and real for you.
It might help to hear from other young women too.
You have been one of the best speakers we have ever had, super relatable, funny, kind and friendly!
