YOUR CIRCLE
SCHOOLS

Schools do an incredible job of nurturing achievement in academics, arts, sport, and leadership.
But within every school day, there are also the quieter moments that shape far more than grades, moments where students are learning who they are, how they connect with others, and what kind of person they want to become. The Future You Project works alongside schools to nurture that growth, strengthening confidence, wellbeing, and self-leadership so young women can thrive in every part of their lives. Our programmes are grounded in the principles of hauora (holistic wellbeing) and manaakitanga (care and generosity). We combine evidence-based coaching and educational research with practical tools that complement your existing pastoral and leadership frameworks. Each workshop or coaching series is designed to meet the specific needs of your students and staff, whether you’re supporting transition years, building resilience, or strengthening leadership among senior girls as your goal.

HOW FYP SUPPORTS SCHOOLS:
-
Tailored workshops that align with your students’ wellbeing or leadership goals.
-
Coaching and mentoring that builds confidence, communication, and connection.
-
Integration with the NZ Curriculum, and your school values.
-
Professional collaboration with counsellors, Deans, and pastoral teams.
FYP’s founder, Vicky Pond Dunlop, brings over 20 years of experience in education, psychology, and coaching. Vicky’s master’s research explored leader identity formation in secondary students and underpins much of FYP’s framework - blending academic insight with lived wisdom. Our facilitators are trained coaches who know how to connect with young people authentically. Sessions are interactive, safe, and strength-focused, creating real engagement, not surface-level participation. We’re proud to work collaboratively with schools that believe in growing not just capable learners, but compassionate, resilient young women ready to shape the future.

Our students walked away with stronger voices and a genuine sense of self-belief. The workshop created a ripple effect - we’ve seen lasting changes in confidence and connection.

Bay of Plenty

Our work is based on four key pillars of wellbeing which is in alignment with the four pillars of Hauora.
01
Taha Whānau / social
Feelings of belonging, compassion, and social support are central to this pillar. We facilitate the development of positive, healthy relationships, with self and with peers. We cultivate conflict resolution skills, discuss healthy relationship indicators, and facilitate meaningful peer affirmation activities.
02
Taha Tinana / physical
We encourage girls to see themselves as a somebody, not just a body. We support the girls to respect what their bodies can do, not what it looks like to someone else, and to connect with their personal power.
03
Taha Hinengaro / mental / emotional
We believe it is crucial to teach girls how to think, not what to think. We coach the girls in building strategies for managing anxiety, the value of being connected with their thoughts and emotions, not overwhelmed by them, and the value of keeping their emotional ‘tanks’ full.
04
Taha Wairua / spiritual
We support the girls to (re)connect to their values and beliefs at the core of meaning and purpose in life, and being secure in their personal identity. We recognise for some individuals attending, spiritual well-being may be linked to a particular religion; for others, it is not.
